Brief Introduction of Sim Koa Yen

How It Begins: Sim Koa Yen is located in Machap District of the Historical City of Malaysia – Malacca. It is 22km from the town. Embracing an area of more than four hectares, Sim Koa Yen is built abutting the largest dam in the state of Malacca – the Durian Tunggal Dam. Once stepped inside the garden, picturesque scenery soon comes into sight. The garden possesses a serene environment brimming with sound and scent of the nature.

When the owner Mr Yap Peck Hoe (Li Yu Jushi) purchased this piece of land on 25-07-1991, it was a stretch of aged rubber trees. After painstaking exploitation and attentive cares, the branded Balik Pulau Durian of Penang planted in the Garden has blossomed and borne aromatic durian twelve years later.

Sim Koa Yen - A Durian and Tropical Fruits Farm of International Standard

Sim Koa Yen has been awarded the certificate of SALM by the Malaysia Ministry of Agriculture on
10-03-2004.

SALM is the abbreviation of "Skim Akreditasi Ladang Malaysia", meaning "Farm Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia" in English.

To obtain this SALM certificate, one must observe Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the production of vegetables, fruits and other crops.

Our farming operations emphasise on environmental protection that protects the nature and ecology, conform to the international specification and care for consumers' health. We are gratified that we have passed the stringent evaluation of the Malaysia Ministry of Agriculture and have been awarded this honourable SALM certificate.
